The Society’s founder, Hjalmar
Berglund (1901-1993) published
a number of ahnentafel lists covering various branches of the family.
This family register is based on the original family tree and has been
supplemented with information from other researchers, digital records
and Internet resources. This register currently covers more than 16 000 people; dead and alive. It continues to grow with help from family and
relatives.
The links left will open pdf-files; lists for the corresponding family
branch.
Please contact our genealogists for updating, corrections and
any information you
may have about people in you branch. Arne, Sture and Bertil all assist
with these matters.
The register is divided into three main branches, following the three
surviving children of Hakan Svensson Kraak: Sissa,
Karin and Sven. These branches are in turn divided into
subgroups such as the Tjurkö branch etcetera.

The Family Number System
Each person is allocated a unique number, basically in accordance with
the well known system "Henry
Numbers".
The children in a family is assigned a number: 1-9, number 1 being the
first born. The difference from Henry Numbers being that children after
child nine get a letter: A (=10), B (=11), C (=12),D (=13), E (=14).
Every digit or letter represents a generation.
I.E. The family number 1 for Sissa tells us that she was the first child
of the first generation. ID is then interpreted as Anders Åkesson - the
13th child of Sissa’s.
Spouses are recognized with the number 0 (zero), and if remarried with
another 0. This system does not show which parent a child belongs to.
Earlier we used a point to separate the generations as a child’s number
sometimes had two digits. For the sake of readability we have abandoned
this and also introduced a hyphen after the 6th generation.
