Welcome to Webpage of Långöra
Society.
The purpose and the goal of this page is to collect information and to spread it
to all members of the family. We are now about 24,000 relatives notated into the
database and we are about 1,350 members in our Society. We would like to grow
our membership, so you are more then welcome to join us as a member. The fees
for membership are listed under Society/Membership. Please help us to fill out
blank fields in our database with facts from your point of view. Feel free to
contact someone on our Leader board or one of our Genealogists.
Before the family meeting in 2012 the Nomination Committee proposed
a "U.S. Ambassador" for the association, Bengt-Ake Svensson.
With his roots on Sturkoe in Sweden, he now resides in California
and "Benke" has accepted the challenge and we Welcome him to the
Association. We hope that our American relatives use "Benke" as
their contact or for questions to us in the future.
